The Holy Cross Church of Dalby

is the oldest stone church still in use in Scandinavia.

"talet" means "century", but, for ex. 1700-talet  it does not mean 17th century the way it does in the States.
It means 1700's.

On the wall in the entryway ( the entry is 1300's, I don't actually know how old this plaque is).
Our friend told me that this area was originally for taking off your armor.

The iron church door is late medieval.       "The church for a christening font in around 1150.  It has probably been made by the anonymous master Byzantios from Gotland and is one of the most interesting fonts in Sweden."

Still an active church....

I am thinking that this natural spring was used as a baptismal font.
But it is only a guess.
